VexIQ Challenge School Robotics Trip
We got to the International Aviation Academy in Norwich at about 8:30am before all the other schools. When all the schools arrived the rules where explained. The first test was the skills challenge where it tested our driving and programing skills. We had to drive our robots down the board and collect as many rings as we could, there was also the bonus for when you pushed two buttons which released twenty rings which we did achieve.
After that, we moved on to the teamwork challenges. The teamwork challenge is when everyone teamed up with another school to get as many rings as possible. There were forty-two qualifying rounds and well done to the boys and girls team for coming sixth and ninth. Lastly it was onto the final round where two teams in chronological order worked together to grab as many points as they could. When the final the results were announced Holly Meadows’ boys team had won the teamwork and skills challenge coming first in both! Well done Holly Meadows! The girls’ team came sixth.
